Challenge Coins, the 10th Tee + Cloud Migration

The Isobar team once again returned to Alabama to attend AFCEA’s Montgomery IT Summit or, as we call it, MITs. For a bit of background, this event allows attendees to engage with speakers, panel members, and other Government and Industry leaders in understanding how the Government can work with their contractor partners to deliver collaborative IT solutions and make them operational in a timely and effective manner for the Warrior.

As usual, we kicked off the week at the annual golf outing, where we sponsored the 10th tee at the beautiful Wynlakes Golf Club.  We were on hand to chat with the industry attendees about Isobar’s capabilities, our relationship and work for the USAF and, most importantly, serve delicious food and beverages as they made their way through the course.

On day one of the conference, we were honored to be called on stage to be recognized for our contributions. For the last seven years, our talented creative team has been asked to design the cover of the program booklet based on a chosen theme. This year, all the artwork was showcased before the keynote speaker and our own Senior Visual Designer, Sam Willey, was on hand to present this year’s design. She was then given a challenge coin imprinted with her design. If you are not familiar with the challenge coins in the USAF, it is a pretty big honor and one she was proud to receive!

Executive Technical Director, Rob Gordon also took the stage during the event to talk all things tech and cloud migration, as part of the CCE Panel Discussion. He was joined on stage with an Amazon Web Services representative, two other Federal vendors Lieutenant Colonel Erickson, who moderated the talk

Though this is our seventh year attending and participating in the conference, we must say, it was the best one yet.  Each year we’ve been able to elevate our involvement in the event and we’re already looking forward to year number eight.  Until then!
