CNX 2019 | The Future of Customer Engagement

Salesforce Connections has quickly grown into one of the most important events of the year for us – especially now that DEG, Linked by Isobar, has come into the Isobar US Group. This year, as Diamond sponsors, we’ll have a significant presence at the event. Along with our sister agency, Merkle, we’ll have a booth on the showroom floor where we’ll be giving “mini talks” and demoing some of our most exciting work.

Of course, there’s much more that we’re looking forward to as we head into the event, so we had each one of our conference attendees share a quick look at what they’re excited to see/learn/not see/etc. Check it out!

I am looking forward to Salesforce Connections this year as we join our new members of the Isobar family, DEG, Linked by Isobar. We’ve been working through meetings as we integrate our two companies, and the synergies are especially apparent as we think about Customer Engagement, specifically with Salesforce. It will be great to represent together as a powerful force that has the ability to provide our clients with sophisticated Customer Engagement capabilities.
In addition, I’m eager to hear more from Salesforce related to Healthcare and Life Sciences. As providers, payers, employers and patients are all looking to get more quality and value from the healthcare system, Salesforce is uniquely positioned to help connect care teams with the right data, and members and patients with the right engagement to help influence quality outcomes and efficient choices for care. With nearly one out of every five dollars of our GDP spent on Healthcare, finding and leveraging mechanisms to increase patient engagement and striving for better quality outcomes is an imperative for the industry and for our economy as a whole. Salesforce has a strong place to play in that pursuit, and I expect great sessions and discussions!

According to recent research published by Yottaa, 56% of Commerce businesses are looking to re-platform, and the market offers many SaaS and PaaS choices. However, for larger Commerce businesses with annual GMV greater than $500M, that are operating legacy, monolithic Commerce platforms with high technical debt and are struggling to accelerate speed and agility and provide that end-to-end connected experience consumers expect, the solution they need is much more complex. Salesforce and Isobar are excited to work with a number of such businesses to help them address this challenge and we are looking forward to continuing the dialogue at Salesforce Connections and beyond.

I’d be lying if I said that one of the reasons I’m most excited for 2019’s Salesforce Connections is because it’s in my favorite city, Chicago!
That said, I’m looking forward to hearing more about Salesforce’s approach to industry verticals. Our clients are interested in vertical based solutions that address the unique nuances of their businesses and it will be interesting and insightful to learn about Salesforce’s industry use cases that are live in the market.

Whether it’s a public health awareness campaign, talent recruitment or outreach to community-based organizations to facilitate government grantmaking, the Federal Government must do a good deal of marketing and citizen engagement. Government agencies have an ever increasing need to develop innovative engagement models that keep pace with citizens’ rising expectations for an elegant and seamless digital experience. A conference like Connections has broad applicability in the government space. Federal agencies and their contractors can leverage a lot of the best practices exhibited by brands and marketers at Connections. I look forward to discovering the cross-sector parallels applying those strategies in the government context.
