Q4 2018 Quarterly Growth Report

For our latest Quarterly Report, Isobar and alpha-DNA took a look back at not only Q4 2018, but also the past two years of data to evaluate how well Digital Strength has predicted future growth over time.

 

Key Findings

  • Companies with a DSI over 91 in March 2018 experienced more than 4 times the revenue growth in the next year versus companies with a score below 11.
  • Companies in the top 30% of DSI scores in March 2018 outperformed in revenue growth within every sector between March 2018 and March 2019.
  • Overall, we found that companies who improved their DSI score from being consistently low (under 40) had returns that were 370% of those whose DSI remained under 40.
  • Businesses in the top decile grew revenues 43% during Q4, up from 39.3% in the prior quarter. Growth stretch for this same set increased slightly to 19.5%, compared to 17.1% in Q3.

 

DSI Movement Revenue Growth Implications

Revenue shifts followed a similar pattern as stock price returns: companies who improved their DSI score from being consistently low saw revenue growth of 90% compared to their peers whose DSI remained under 40.
