IsoBAR Serving Up Booze & Boos for a Good Cause!

This autumn, the IsobarGOOD Committee put its bartending talents on display for the inaugural Charity Fall Bar & Bake Sale event. So, what is a Charity Bar, you might be wondering?  Well, it’s exactly what it sounds like. Members of our Chicago team set up a bar/lounge decked out with custom fall cocktails, beers, wines and baked goods.  Employees were given the chance to “buy” a treat with all proceeds going towards sponsoring “Adopt-a-Family” for Christmas.

What is Adopt-a-Family?  A Children’s Place Association’s Annual Holiday Giving Drive.  Families facing extreme poverty and illness are matched with a kind-spirited individual, family or company. Children’s Place families often struggle to meet basic needs like shelter and food, and often can’t afford to buy holiday gifts. Adopt-a-Family helps make the holiday season special for these families who are facing much more than illness.

IsobarGOOD chose Adopt-a-Family charity because we want to make the holidays special for children and families affected by poverty and illness in Chicago. Many of us reflect back on years of holiday memories and anticipate the new memories soon to be made.  This desire, of course, holds true for everyone.

The IsobarGOOD committee is always looking for opportunities to engage with our local communities and give back to causes that are important to the team. Be sure to check back for more updates on how the IsobarGOOD committee is making a difference.
