Serving up something GOOD to the Chicago office

This summer, the IsobarGOOD Committee put its bartending talents on display for the inaugural Charity Bar Car event.  What is a Charity Bar Car, you might be wondering?  Well, it’s exactly what it sounds like.  Members of our Chicago team went desk to desk with a traveling bar cart, decked out with custom cocktails, beers and baked goods, giving employees the chance to “buy” a treat benefitting the “Breathrough Ministries Trunk Party” group.

The selected charity supports graduating high school students who are making the transition to college by helping cover costs of dorm room needs. In under an hour, the bar cart had well exceeded its goal.  Employees were given a choice of which items they wanted to select for the prospective college students. Some of the items we were able to help provide with our fundraiser included, toiletries, personal accessories, cleaning supplies, linens and various school supplies.

The IsobarGOOD committee is always looking for opportunities to engage with our local communities and give back to causes that are important to the team.  Knowing that, through this small event, we were able to alleviate some of the common financial stresses that comes along with being in college, was incredibly gratifying.

Be sure to check back for more updates on how the IsobarGOOD committee is making a difference.
