Isobar Runs For the Wild

Last weekend, a group of Isobarians braved the wee hours of a Saturday morning to travel to the Bronx and support the annual Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) event called Run for the Wild. The 5K event looped through the historic Bronx Zoo, allowing for a singular experience that this year focused on supporting gorillas. Gorillas in Africa are in danger due to habitat loss, poaching and disease and the WCS has responded to these threats since the 1970s through research, reducing hunting pressure, supporting conservation efforts, and education.

Our group had a fantastic time during the race and enjoyed private access to the zoo with other participants once they crossed the finish line. Led by President Jim Butler, our team raised $700 in donations for a great cause and enjoyed a beautiful day in the process. Check out some pictures from the day below.
