Isobar APAC CEO Jean Lin and Global CMO Hester Bloch Offer Advice to Our Women’s Community

This week, our Chicago Women’s Community gathered for a luncheon at The Gage to hear career lessons and advice from two inspiring female leaders from our global leadership team: Isobar APAC CEO and Global Chief Strategy Officer Jean Lin and Global Chief Marketing Officer Hester Bloch.

Diversity is key to the innovation-driven culture at Roundarch Isobar and the Women’s Community was formed to provide a forum for discussion of the unique issues that women face in building a career in an agency world.

Hester and Jean inspired with their insights on what helped them succeed, advice on being a female in a male dominated industry, balancing a career and family, and their view of the broader Isobar network.  The women from our office enjoyed the opportunity to ask questions and learn directly from two such successful leaders within the global Isobar agency.

Jean shared her career journey from working at Ogilvy & Mather to starting her own company, being acquired by Aegis Media and ultimately rising to her current position.  She discussed her inspiration for starting wwwins consulting and stressed the importance of finding what you are passionate about and working towards it.

One of Hester’s biggest career lessons was to “never work for anyone who doesn’t respect your personal life,” as well as, “work really hard when you’re in your twenties [and you have the time] so that you can have flexibility for your family in your thirties and beyond.”

Our team in Chicago so enjoyed the conversation that we’ll be coordinating additional opportunities for our other offices throughout the U.S. to hear from Jean and Hester.
