Roundarch Isobar Chicago Office Women’s Community Kicks Off 2013

The Chicago Women’s Community kicked off the new year yesterday with a social gathering and planning session in the office.? The agenda was focused on reacquainting everyone, getting to know our new members and brainstorming on plans for the year.

We started our event with salsa and sangria followed by a fun ice breaker activity led by Ally Meyer.? We then split into smaller groups to brainstorm on what our members would like to do as a community this year. Ideas ranged from bringing in Industry speakers to learning more about other projects and disciplines to social and volunteer events.

As a follow up to this meeting, we will vote on our top priorities for the year and form committees to plan and execute future events.

Many thanks to Amanda, Ally, and Laura for their work in pulling this event together.? Thanks to all those who participated and shared their ideas and perspectives.? I look forward to a great year working together to build our community.
