Roundarch Isobar Sponsors 5th Annual American Cancer Society Softball Tournament

On September 8th, the Roundarch Isobar softball team traveled to Randall’s Island, New York, to participate in the 5th Annual American Cancer Society Softball Invitational. Since 2008, Roundarch Isobar has sponsored the corporate softball tournament, which raises funds to support cancer research, education, advocacy and service within our community. Thanks to the efforts of Roundarch Isobar players, friends, family, volunteers and twenty-two other teams, this year’s event raised more than $64,000 for the American Cancer Society!

Unfortunately, the results on the field were not as positive, as a morning storm passed through and the softball tournament was rained out. Still, the rain did not dampen the collective spirits of everyone involved, and we remain dedicated to supporting the American Cancer Society’s important work. The Roundarch Isobar softball team looks forward to using the offseason to continue to support the fight against cancer, and to prepare to demonstrate our skills on the field during next year’s event.

Of course, the American Cancer Society’s mission is bigger than a single event, or a single day, and fundraising efforts are always welcomed and appreciated. Donations are accepted throughout the year through the American Cancer Society website: http://www.cancer.org
